VidCompressor is designed with privacy as a core principle. Unlike traditional video compression services, your videos are never uploaded to our servers. All video processing happens locally in your browser.

How Your Videos Are Processed

When you use VidCompressor:

• Your video file is processed entirely within your web browser
• We use WebAssembly (FFmpeg.wasm) for local compression
• Your original and compressed videos remain on your device
• No video data is transmitted to any external server
• When you close the browser tab, all video data is deleted from memory

Data We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymous data to improve our service:

• Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics (page views, browser type, general location)
• Error Logs: Anonymous error reports to help us fix bugs

We do NOT collect:

• Your video files or any visual content
• Personal information (name, email, address)
• File names or metadata from your videos
